Friendly volleyball matches organised

Imphal, April 08 2024: Assam Rifles organised a friendly volleyball match between the teams of Chongjang village, Tengnoupal district and its troops at Company Operating Base, Chongjang on Sunday.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that a total of 28 youths participated in the match witnessed by 68 villagers.

Similarly, AR organised a friendly volleyball match at Songdoi village in Churachandpur district on Sunday wherein a total of 12 youths participated and were briefed about the sports culture in India and the opportunities available in today's environment in various sports.

The release continued that the matches were organised with the aim to motivate local youth to refrain from involvement in the ongoing communal violence in Manipur and promote sports culture in the villages of the state.
