LS Trophy: HYA, Minou FC win; LS Academy, KFA play out draw

Kangpokpi, August 29 2022: Halpi Youth Athletics (HYA) defeated Hintwi Football Club 3-2 in the ongo ing Len and Sang Trophy 2022 at Brig M Thomas Ground at Kangpokpi district headquarters on Monday as Ninou FC beat Manipur Terrier Imphal 3-1.Luntinhao's brace in the 21st and 36th minutes and Lhungousem's goal in the 29th minute gave HYA full points as Hintwi FC failed to find an equaliser till the last minute despite scoring two goals through Mangneilen (47th) and Nehminlal (65th).In the group C encounter, Ninou FC had a brilliant comeback after their defeat at the hands of Angkailongdi FC by beating Manipur Terrier Imphal 3-1.RK Jiten (17th), Mangminhao (24th) and Lenjamang (74th) scored for Ninou's side while Manipur Terrier Imphal got their lone goal (35th) through Lungkoiba.

The group D encounter between LS Academy and Kuki Football Academy in the third match ended in a goalless draw.

Tuesday (August 30), TASA will play TYPOM Maohing in the first match, KYU will take on Haipi Youth Athletics in the second match, and Golngai FC will clash with SSMT in the third match.
