AMBBA warns of blacklisting players

Imphal, April 08 2024: All Manipur Body Builders' Association (AMBBA) has warned of blacklisting and barring players for lifetime from taking part in competition organised by it in case he/she participates in competitions not authorised by AMBBA.

In a release, general secretary Yumlembam Sunanta remarked that AMBBA is the only association recognised by Department of Youth Affairs & Sports as controlling body of bodybuilding sports in the state and expressed strong resentment that bodybuilding competitions are being organised without its approval.

As certificates issued by AMBBA only would be considered for government jobs, players should not waste their talent and time and avoid competitions organised by other bodybuilding associations.

Before attending any championship, public representatives and government officers should also check whether the organising body is government recognised or not, it further emphasised.
