Imphal, August 20 2021: Noney Battalion Assam Rifles of 22 Sector/Inspector General of Assam Rifles (East) distributed essential items on the occasion of "World Humanitarian Day" at Mongjarong Khunou-III village, Noney district on Friday.

The battalion provided the humanitarian assistance realizing that life in rural areas has been severely hit due to COVID-19 and subsequent restrictions and lockdown, said a release.

The battalion also assured the village of Monjarong Khunou-III to provide all possible assistance.

The event was held with, strict adherence to COVID Appropriate Behaviour by wearing mask and maintaining social distancing, added the release.
