Imphal, December 07 2014: Selected candidates of SI, Jemadar and ASI have demanded the Government to issue appointment orders for their recruitment before the Winter Session of Manipur Legislative Assembly.

Speaking to reporters at Manipur Press Club, Sub-Inspector/Jemadar Selected Candidates Core Committee executive member L Peterson said that written test results for the recruitment of 285 Sub-Inspectors, 59 Jemadars and 315 Assistant Sub-Inspectors were declared on December 23, 2011 after conducting written examination on January 2, 2011 .

He added that the final list of recruited candidates was issued on August 6, 2013 after conducting interview from September 5 to 11, 2012 .

However, even after a lapse of 16 months, appointment letters have not been issued to these recruited candidates till date, he added.
