Imphal, February 23 2009: Governor Gurbachan Jagat kicked 43rd Blind Welfare Week at Raj Bhavan today.

The programme organised by Students' Welfare Association for the Blind will continue till March 1.Manipur Women Development Corporation chairman AK Mirabai and Social Welfare Director Mani were also present in the opening function.

Distribution of awards, rehabilitation of visually challenged persons, organising of Blind Flag Day for fund rising will mark the weeklong celebration.
