Senapati, March 17 2015: A two day farmers' training cum workshop organized by Additional DC, Kangpokpi under the theme "Plantation of fruit bearing trees & its economic impact and Soil & Water Conservation" for farmers of Kangpokpi block has kicked off today at the multipurpose hall, ADC complex Kangpokpi, reports our correspondent.

The inaugural function was attended by DK Thangboi, MCS, Addl DC Kangpokpi, N Tolen Singh, Agriculture officer, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi and Jambel, Agriculture officer, Autonomous District Council, Senapati as the presidium members.

More than 30 farmers participated in the event.

Around 300 pomegranate saplings were also distributed to the farmers.
