Imphal, July 16 2014: After a series of initiative meetings to settle the dispute of Barak Bailey Bridge construction under the NEC -II program between Dikiuram and Katang Villages was amicably settled peacefully, it said in a press release.

The dispute erupted when eight panel nut bolts were removed from the fixed bailey bridge on the 8th of March 2014.The removal of the nut bolts was confirmed but no one was caught red handed the culprit(s).

Since then, allegation leveled against some individuals and counter clarifications were made.

Finally the dispute was solved based on the mutual understanding of the person involved Mr.Ningtinglung alias Johny Gonmei contractor versus Mr.Nk.

Job, Huliang and Aribou of Dikiuram Village, it said.
