Imphal, February 23 2009: Moirangthem Sunita d/o M Yaima of Nagamapal Kangjabi Leirak has been selected for the 8th Laishram Gouramani Memorial Award for Visually Handicapped for the year 200809.She has been selected for her outstanding contribution to games and sports/arts and culture.

The award is donated by Padmashree Laishram Nabakishore, renowned herbal medical practitioner.

The award, first of its kind in Manipur carries Rs 3000 with citation and a memento.

The award will be given away in a function held at Home for the Blind, Takeyelpat on February 25.
