Churachandpur, April 16 2015 : The JAC of Khuga Dam, quoting the letter sent by IFCD Chief Engineer addressed to the Principal Secretary of IFC, Government of Manipur which allegedly read as, 'the project was inaugurated when the head work portion was fully completed with the creation of partial irrigation potential of 10,000 hectares and availability of 5MGD of raw water for supply to the state PHED for drinking purposes', dubbed the same as misleading.

The committee declared that no water has yet been released for cultivation as well as for drinking purposes as mentioned in the letter.

The IFCD could not simply take the credit for the works of PHED, the committee refuted.

The committee further communicated that they are demanding the encashment of pending liabilities for those cases which have been checked and approved by concerned Department.
