Teachers education seminar

A one-day seminar on "Teachers' Education in 21st Century" was held yesterday at Moreh College with National Council for Teachers' Education general secretary Nalima Vargavati as chief guest.
Speaking at the seminar, Nalima said that teachers are doctors for students.
Teachers should examine physical condition as well as mental disposition of their students in order to groom them properly.
Teachers should monitor whether the students are grasping whatever they are teaching.
Manipur University College Development Council Director Dr RK Ranjan while pointed out that UNESCO has set a target of providing primary education to all people of the world by 2015, questioned if the State Government has made any arrangement to achieve this target.
MU Professor (Education Department) L Leiren underscored the importance of peace education for sustainable development.
The seminar which was attended by teachers and staff of Moreh College was presided by its Principal Lungjamang Vaiphei.
