Imphal, November 04 2015: 40 Assam Rifles 9 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (S) will conduct an ex-servicemen meet at Singjamei Post on November 5 at 10 am.

The meet will be conducted with an aim to apprise the ex-servicemen about the various schemes being provided by the Central and State Governments for their welfare and provide a platform to the ex-servicemen to highlight their problems and suggest appropriate solutions for the same, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S).

Free medical check-up, canteen facility and grievances cell would be main highlights of the meet.

A comprehensive interaction will take place in which the Officiating Commandant of the unit will inform all veterans about the latest schemes introduced by Government and various measures under taken by IGAR(S) for the welfare of ex-servicemen.
