Imphal, July 31 2011: The 28 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a Medical cum Dental camp on 31 Jul 2011 at Lilong Dam Village, Lilong.

Assam Rifles has continually been working for the benefit and welfare of local villagers by conducting regular medical camp in remote villages where even basic medical care is a distant dream for the rural folk.

The medical camp was inaugurated my Md Burnanuddin, age 82 yrs, seniormost residing citizen Lilong Dam.

A medical team comprising of Assam Rifles Doctors, Dentist, Gynecologist, Ophthalmologist, pediatrician and Orthopedic surgeon were present to examine the patients and to attend their various health problems.

A total of over 800 locals were attended and disbursed medicines.
