Imphal, April 16 2015 : Senior Citizen for Society, Manipur in its meeting held on April 15 at the residence of L Lalit Singh, president of SCS, expressed deep sorrow over the sudden demise of B Jayantakumar Sharma and shared the sorrows of the bereaved family.

In a condolence message, SCS remembered the late B Jayantakumar Sharma as one of the greatest lyricists and a noted writer who devoted his life for the development of Manipuri art and culture.

He was indeed a good human being endowed with the rare qualities of head and heart.

His demise is an irreparable loss not only to the family but to the entire people of Manipur, the statement said.

The members also observed two-minute silence as a prayer to the Almighty for the eternal rest of the departed soul, the statement added.
