Imphal, November 04 2015: The JAC against the brutal killing of Mohammad Hasmad Ali alias Oja Babu has imposed a twelve hours general strike on Imphal to Yairipok road on November 6 from 5am to 5pm to demand investigation into the death of the Headmaster.

A statement issued by the JAC convenor today has charged the Irilbung police station OC of negligence in handling the case.

Mention may be made, Mohammad Hasmad Ali was lynched to death on the charge of cattle theft in November 2.The JAC, in the statement has claimed that the gang involved the murder had attempted to tarnish the image of the Headmaster by attributing his death to cattle theft.

The JAC has appealed the school and college students, offices and other establishments to support the general strike.
