Imphal, July 31 2011: Saying that the State Government has failed to implement the revised UGC pay scale within the deadline of July 31, Federation of College Teachers' Association, Manipur (FECTAM) has decided to go on a cease work strike from August 1 .

The strike would continue until the demand is fulfilled, said a press release.

Meanwhile, Government Polytechnic Gazetted Staff Association has also decided to launch a ceasework strike from August 1 protesting non-implementation of AICTE's revised (6th Pay) pay.
