Imphal, August 31 2016: Unknown miscreants set ablaze the office of Punna Hingminaba micro finance company at Changangei Maning Leikai in the wee hours today.

The fire was suspected to have ignited by pouring kerosene into a small hole made on the wall of the office.

The office is attached with the house of the company's proprietor Chingtham Dharmendra.

Important documents, a computer monitor, a fan and fur- niture were damaged by the fire.

Dharmendra told reporters that he has no enmity with anybody.

As the office cum house is located adjacent to the main road, some youth who returned home after watching a concert saw the fire and informed them at around 1.45 am.

His family members along with the youth doused the fire before it spread to other rooms and damaged other properties, he said.

Dharmendra said that his organisation which has 30 staff provides micro finance to many needy people.
