MPP urges

Manipur People's Party (MPP) has urged Governor KK Paul not to give his consent to the Manipur Regulation of Visitors, Tenants and Migrant Workers Bill 2015, which has already been passed by the Manipur Legislative Assembly.
Addressing a press conference held at their office, MPP president N Sovakiran said that the Bill does not have any point which may protect the indigenous people of the State.
Condemning the State Government for passing the Bill, Sovakiran said that the State Government has overlooked the suggestions of civil society organisations, legal experts, JCILPS and all political parties committee.
He said that the Chief Minister must resign if he is unable to act according to wish of the common people.
