Imphal, October 31 2015 : ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, Imphal organised a three-day training programme on sustainable aquaculture development in the context of climate change under the National Innovations under Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) from Oct 29-31 .

Dr Ch Basudha Devi, senior scientist (Fisheries), H Bharati Devi, scientist, N Sureshchandra Singh, SMS, Ukhrul KVK, Dr Geetakumari Kh, Dr Nirmala Devi, Sr Technical Officer (Animal Sciences), Ngalaton AS and Ch Sinthoileima delivered lectures on various aspects on fish farming techniques such as care and maintenance of fish brooders, pond management, fish hatchery management, water management, fish feed management, integrated duck cum fish farming etc.

Hands on training on fish breeding, pond management etc were also done.

An exposure visit was also conducted at fish farms, according to a statement.
