Imphal, June 30 2021: Loyalam Construction Workers' Welfare Union appealed the Government to consider inclusion of construction workers above 60 years of age in the Social Benefit Schemes of the Government.

In a statement issued today, the -Union said the construction workers are not included in any social benefit schemes and as they have been out of work due to the pandemic, they are one of the most affected groups during the pandemic.

In view of this, the Union appealed the Government to give pension to the construction workers above 60 years.
