Imphal, October 23 2012: A veterinary aid camp cum mass vaccination programme was held at Rengkai village, Churachandpur today.

The programme was organised by the Disease Investigation Laboratory of the Directorate of Vety and AH Services, Manipur along with District Vety Office, Churachandpur under the All India Coordinated Research Project on animal disease and monitoring and surveillance.

Altogether 250 dogs were vaccinated against rabies; 32 cattle vaccinated against foot and mouth disease; 240 pigs vaccinated against swine fever along with treatment of 87 sick animals, a press statement informed.

The day-long programme was participated by Dr N Rajendro Singh, Jt Dir; Dr Ng Ibotombi Singh, Principal Investigator, DIL; Dr Rosangzuol Khawlum; Dr L Hriler; Dr George Joute; and Dr K Devkishore Singh along with field staff of the District Vety Office, Churachandpur and DIL, Veterinary Directorate, it added.
