MSF for stringent punishment to rapist

Imphal, July 05 2013 : Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) has demanded the state government and its related authorities to compensate and rehabilitate the minor girl student who was raped by her uncle at his residence under Patsoi Police Station in Imphal West on 1st July, 2013 .

Demanding to book the rapist Irom Bobo (40), s/o Kameshwar of Tharoijam Maning Leikai under Criminal Law (Amendment) Act-2013, a statement issued by Syed Nawas Khan, Assistant Publicity Secretary, MSF urged the state government to process the case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act-2012 and ensure a speedy trial by handing over the case to a special court.

The severe form of punishment should be awarded to him so that other rapists learn lesson from it.
