Imphal, March 04 2016 :
The JAC on Imphal-Moreh Road Transport
Association has stated that though extensive effort to establish an
international market in Moreh has been taken up, pitiable condi-
tion of Imphal-Moreh would hamper the traders in transporting
their produces.
Speaking to reporters, Ngangom Haridas, president of the
JAC on Imphal-Moreh Road Transport Association said that
the authority concerned should see to it that there is hassle-
free road connectivity from Imphal-Moreh if the international
market is to be established successfully.
The stretches of Imphal-Moreh road at Tengnoupal, 25
BRTF at Khongkhang village, Leingaktabi, Kwatha Lamkhai
and Mahadev are in deplorable condition due to landslides and
lack of timely reparation work.
Moreover, unreasonable levy-
ing of taxes by State security personnel has also become a
matter of concern.
He urged the authority concerned to look
into the issues faced by the transporters.
Efficient road connectivity is the key to economic development, he said.
