Imphal, January 19 2014 : Discovering the smuggling of banned wild life products, troops of 9 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector AR launched a search operation in Dalpatti area of Moreh Ward No 2, on january 18.During the search operation a well packed box was recovered.

When the box was opened for inspection, six Tokay Geckos were found inside, said a PRO IGAR (S) release.

These exotic animals are valued at about Rs 3 lakh in the international market.

The recovered Tokay Geckos have been handed over to Wildlife Department in Moreh.
