Edibles exchanged in supportive spirit

Kakching, April 21 2020:
In a very encouraging gesture, members of a WhatsApp group called "Agenda Kakching" has reached out to the villagers of Kangoi Khullen in Tengnoupal district with potatoes, onions, ngari, soaps, salts and other itmes today at community hall of the village.
To show their love and gratitude, the villagers of Kangoi Khullen also presented the team with locally grown vegetables and banana plants, which they had collected braving the rain on learning that team from the Kakching will be visiting them with relief materials.
Naorem Sanjitkumar, Chairperson of Kakching Municipal Council and a member of the WhatsApp ground stated that the items were presented considering the immense hardships faced by the hill people during the lockdown.

Larung Yaima (Kothang) Dangshawa Maring, on behalf of the Kangoi Khullen also extended deepest gratitude to the team of the Whatsapp group for showing solidarity and underlining the emotional attachment between the communities in such a critical phase.
He also expressed his strong desire to share similar spirit of love and bonding among all communities in the future.
Rangui Baptist Church under the supervision of Khurai A/C MLA L Susindro and Langei MD Telem Arun handed over vegetables to Tangkhul Baptist Church, Dewlahland and Lamphel to be distributed to families in the respective areas.
Langei MD Telem Arun also provided the police department with raincoats which was handed over to SP of Imphal East by MLA Susindro.
