Imphal, August 31 2016:
BJP MLAs Kh Joykishan and Th Bishwajit have pledged to carry on different forms of protest agitation until justice is done to the recruitment process (for Police Constable) held in 2013. Speaking to mediapersons separately, the BJP MLAs said they would consult Central leaders for their next course of agitation.
The public uproar was invited by the Congress Government's failure to take up any action against all those officials responsible for all the reported anomalies and discrepancies committed during the recruitment process.
People have all the right to question the State Government's failure to take up any punitive action against the responsible officers.
If the disgruntled candidates decide to take recourse to violence, the Congress Government should be held accountable, they asserted.
Bishwajit said that his release together with Kh Joykishan was a humiliating defeat for the Congress Government.
Meanwhile, BJP Thangmeiband Mandal president Soram Bijoy informed that the indefinite bandh called in Thangmeiband AC since yesterday afternoon has been called off.
