Bomb threat on acting Adhyaksha of Thoubal Zilla Parishad

Thoubal, March 22 2015: Unidentified persons on Saturday placed a Chinese-made hand grenade at the Khangabok Bazar residence of the acting Adyaksha of the Thoubal Zilla Parishad under Thoubal Police Station at around 6 a.m. The grenade which was found at the gate of acting Adyaksha's house was recovered by Thoubal Police at around 7:30 a.m.the same day.

Protesting against the incident, womenfolk of the area organised a sit-in-protest at Khangabok Bazar and appealed those responsible not to repeat such act.

During the sit-in protest, Meira Paibi members of Khangabok Bazar held placards which read 'Better to stop bomb culture'; 'Bomb can't bring peace in the state'; 'It will bring a better for the society" etc.
