Imphal, March 17 2015: Members of All Manipur Bar Association (AMBA) staged a sit-in-protest against the blast, triggered at temporary market shed on March 11, at the gate of Cheirap Court complex today.

Condemning the blast which claimed the life of three persons and left many others injured, AMBA president Khaidem Mani said that such deadly attacks are carried out as the Government is unable to nab the culprits.

Saying that a series of bomb blasts has rocked Imphal city recently, Khaidem Mani asked the security agencies and police to step up action to check such deadly attacks in future.

Khaidem Mani said that failure to nab the culprits is an indication of law and order break down.

As such, inaction of the State Government has brought a panicky situation across the State.

Adding that CCTV cameras, installed across the city, are of no use Mani said that the Intelligence Department has been showing their incompetency repeatedly.

Till today, the injured victims have received no Government help, Mani said and added that critically injured persons have been shifted to private hospitals as the Government hospitals do not have necessary equipment.

Maintaining that total break down of the State Government machinery has brought such hardships to the people, Mani urged the authority concerned to act fast before more people die.
