Expressing deep regret over the reported goof up in the results of the HSLC examination, Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) has assured the general public that such mistakes would not recur in future.
In a statement, Board Secretary L Rajmohon said, Board Chairman P Dhanakumar entrusted him on May 25 to conduct a thorough enquiry into the wrongful declaration of examination result of eight candidates as well as into any other discrepencies that may arise in respect of compilation and declaration of the results of HSLCE - 2013 .
The enquiry is still going on and a report is expected shortly, he added.
Based on preliminary findings, examiners, co-ordinators and officials concerned have been severely reprimanded and debarred from any examination related works, he added.
L Rajmohon said, "The Board would like express its deep regrets for the inconveniences caused to the public, and particularly the candidates concerned and would also like to assure that such mistakes shall not recur in future" .
He said that such discrepancies have crept in despite Board's best efforts.
Since the works done in the Board involve an extremely large number of people, most of whom are not the employees of the Board, possibility of such mistakes are extremely high and the Board has been putting in effort to neutralise such mistakes, he added.
