Kanggui, February 06 2014:
Kuki Inpi Manipur said the outcome of today's tripartite talk at Senapati, in whatever form, will not be accepted by the Kukis since the objective behind the talk is purely for disintegration of Manipur as well as disturbance of peace and tranquility among the major ethnic tribes of the State.
Khaimang Chongloi, secretary Kuki Inpi Manipur asserted that any political talk must be for all indigenous people while insisting that any kind of political arrangement for one particular tribe is against the integrity of Manipur as well as sowing seeds of communal enmity.
"905 innocent Indian Kuki civilians were killed and murdered because of UNC's Quit Notice on October 22, 1992 while 360 Indian Kuki villages were uprooted and 100,000 Indian Kukis rendered homeless," pointed out KIM secretary affirming that before UNC's unconstitutional activities have been put on trial and justice brought to the 905 murdered Kukis and 100,000 rendered homeless outcome of the tripartite talk will not be acceptable to the Kukis.
Chongloi further maintained that the talk is sign of discrimination, violation of human rights as well as disintegration of a state where all kinds of violence could erupt.
Those involved in such talk should be held responsible any undesired outcome, he cautioned.
The KIM secretary also maintained that the stand of the Kuki Inpi is not only for the Kukis but the state as a whole and to safeguard the integrity, peace and harmony of the state.
Therefore, all intellectual and like-minded individual denizens of Manipur should wake up from their deep slumber and stand united to safeguard the integrity, peace and harmony in the state.
