Sweet and sour tidings for LPG consumers

Imphal, February 01 2016:
Following considerable improvement in the supply and distribution of LPG in the State, many consumers have started receiving LPG refills regularly.
However there still is a huge disparity among the consumers with some receiving as much as 13 refills so far while some have received only between 2 and 4 refills.
Meanwhile Canchi Indane Service and K&K Indane Service have started delivering refills to consumers who made their bookings on January 7 or earlier.
Yet, official records available with IOC claim that Canchi Indane Service has cleared bookings done on January 31 or earlier and K&K Indane Service till January 29 .
Canchi Indane Service has around 7768 active consumers.
Out of them, three have received 13 refills each while 25 have been delivered 12 refills each.
53 consumers have been delivered 11 refills each while 72 consumers have been given 10 refills each.
92 consumers have been given nine refills and 108 consumers have been issued eight refills each.
On the other end of the spectrum, 276 consumers have received just one refill each while many others have to be contented with two to four refills each.
Canchi Indane Service has been distributing 246.59 refills in a day on the average and bookings of 1511 consumers are pending at present.
Likewise, five consumers of K&K Indane Service have been issued 13 refills each while another five have been issued 12 refills each.
11 refills each have been issued to eight consumers, 10 refills each to 22 consumers, nine refills each to 42 consumers and eight refills each to 30 consumers.
K&K Indane Service has around 12653 active consumers and 852 of them have been given only one refill each this financial year.
The distributor has been distributing 420.84 refills in a day on the average and 5739 consumers have been awaiting refills.
Despite the spectacular achievement in LPG distribution, it remains a big question why there is so much variation in the two extremities of consumers who have been maximum refills and those who have been issued minimum refills.
