Imphal, September 21 2021: Body of a teenager, who remained traceless after falling into Imphal River near Khabam Lamdaibung under Heingang Police station on Monday, has been fished out from bank of the same river atTelipati area near Minuthong on Tuesday 9:40 am.

According to a police report, Nongthombam Manganleiba (13) s/o N Suranjoy of Kontha Khabam Maning Leikai fell into the river near Khabam Lamdaibung, following which teams of NDRF, SDRF, Fire Service and Heingang police station carried out operations to locate the body.

The lifeless body was spotted floating near Minuthong on Tuesday morning by some locals who immediately contacted the police.

A team of Heingang police station fished out the corpse around 9:40 am and handed it over to family members for performing last rites.
