LOUSAL observes 'Loumee Numit'

Loumee Shinmee Apun Lup (LOUSAL) on Tuesday observed 'Loumee Numit' at the memorial located in Pungdongbam in Imphal East.
According to a statement issued by LOUSAL publicity secretary P Inaobi, the solemn function was attended by LOUSAL volunteers who offered floral tributes and observed a two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed souls of advisor AK Janaki, ex president L Ranjit, Oinam Menjor of Nambol Oinam,Wairokpam Naba of Pungdongbam, Bashanta of Keibul Lamjao, Ningthoujam Bijoy of Leimaram, Laishram Bashanta of Thouda Bhabok Leikai and Somendro of Nambol.
The statement further said that the government should purchase the crops and agricultural products of the farmers at proper rates.
It has been the demand of LOUSAL for the government to encourage double cropping and provide fertilisers in time so as to help the state become self-sustainable.
In this context, LOUSAL will be taking up various activities and as such, urged the government and the people to extend their cooperation in this regard.
