Thoubal, June 30 2021:
Rajya Sabha MP Dr S Ranjan has remarked that many medical students have forgotten the sacred oath they took at the time of registration due to the influences of the modern materialistic world.
He made the statement during the inaugural function of the newly constructed Sur Hospital in Khangabok, Thoubal district along NH-102 on Wednesday.
Expressing belief that the new hospital would be able to provide optimum care to patients, the MP said that the Prime Minister had sanctioned loans to private hospitals to better combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
In his speech, Sur Hospital Managing Director Dr Laish-ram Somen said that the hospital has been opened with the aim of providing quality health care to patients at affordable rates.
Although the priority service at the moment will be related to gynaecology, other services including Ortho, Surgery and paediatrics will soon be introduced.
He then assured of providing the best service, and added that he would try his level best to ensure people do not have any complaints with the hospital.
