Ex-Congress workers extend support to Radheshyam

In all, 71 people from 33/2 Kakmayai,33/4 Pitra and 33/7 Salungpham, who used to support Congress party earlier but have joined BJP on Friday, have announced their support to Heirok AC MLA Thokchom Radheshyam.
Welcoming the new members to the party, MLA Radheshyam presented them party cap and stole.
Speaking on the occasion, Radheshyam credited the trust that people of Heirok have on him to the hard work of BJP workers of Heirok AC, including delivering of government schemes to the people.
The MLA also announced various upcoming development projects including blacktopping of the Wangjing Salungpham road leading to Ningel, as well as roads in 58 localities of Heirok village, and installation of High Mast Lighting poles in two areas of Heirok and Shikhong Sekmai.
He then appealed to all concerned to promote peace and unity and encourage all emerging and talent individuals in the held of sports, education or art and culture.
Radheshyam continued that majority of the development projects remained stagnant in Heirok Heirok AC due to the incompetency and mismanagement of the former MLAs including widespread nepotism, misidentihcation of beneficiaries of Old age Pension scheme and others, etc.
After seeing such wrongdoings, he decided to contest in the polls and subsequently won with the blessing of the people, he said and appealed to them to continue extending their support in the upcoming polls.
The MLA also assured to address all outstanding issues and shortcomings brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The reception function was attended by BJP Heirok Mandal president Th Chourjit, Heirok Zilla Parishad member T Nungshi Singh and representatives of polling stations.
