Blessing ceremony of "Iningthou Kulachandra" held

Imphal, May 03 2023: Blessing ceremony of a theatre play based on history and titled "Iningthou Kulachandra (the last king independent Manipur)" to be produced by Rupmahal Theatre, Imphal was held on Wednesday at its BT road campus, here.

The programme was attended by Manipur Cultural Council chairman K Rad-hakumar as chief guest and Rupmahal Theatre secretary H Achouba Sharma as the functional president.

Speaking at the event, theatre director Khwairakpam Biswamitra informed that Rupmahal Theatre has initiated the step to produce the new historical play as per the instruction of chief minister N Biren to honour the unsung heroes of Manipur, adding that, the play will be released within the month of July.

The play is written and will be directed by Biswamitra.
