JCILPS women wing to intensify stir

JCILPS Women Wing has announced that it would intensify their agitation by storming offices of regional and National political parties in the State as part of its agitation demanding the conversion of the three Bills passed by the State Legislative Assembly last year into Acts.
This was stated by convener of JCILPS Women Wing, Thongam Apabi during a press meet held at the office of JCILPS today afternoon.
She stated that the volunteers of Women Wing will intensify the stir and they will not remain silent until and unless the three Bills are converted into Acts.
She also stated that from tomorrow onward the volunteers of women wing will carry out protest at the offices of regional and National political parties, residences of the leaders of political party and other related offices.
She also rued that no action has been taken up so far regarding the decision of the all political parties to press the Central leaders over the three Bills.
She further asked why the all political party leaders have not gone to Delhi to meet the President and Prime Minister still.
Thongam Apabi further asked the political party leaders not to play with the sentiments of the people by giving false and hollow assurances.
Expressing serious concern over the hard time faced by the State in the face of natural calamity, Apabi said that the Women's Wing is committed to carry on the agitation despite the flood affecting the State.
She appealed to all the meira paibis and local club members to take out torch rally tonight to demand the conversion of the three Bills into Acts.
The 38 hours bandh called by the JCILPS had evoked strong support.
