Three die, two injured in road mishaps

Imphal, June 30 2021:
One man succumbed while two others sustained injuries on Wednesday.
According to police, a Maruti Alto car (WB 06G 3404) coming from Nambol side rammed into a road median along Tiddim road near oil depot at Malom Makha Leikai on Wednesday evening.
Out of the three people were travelling in the car, the driver died while the other two passengers sustained injuries.
The deceased driver was one Jiten Phuritsabam (44) son of Padam of Salungpham.
He was rushed to RIMS hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
The two injured passengers have been identified as Wahengbam Chouyai (50) son of late W Herajao Singh and Sapam Nabachandra Singh (42) son of Tarangkhomba both from Salungpham.
They have been admitted to RIMS hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, in a case of selfcaused accident, a water tanker crashed into the road median in front of 2nd MR gate on Wednesday around 1.40 pm.
However, there is no report of injury in the mishap.
On the other hand, two people who came riding a bullet motorcycle died when they collided with a Mini Tata 407 along NH 102 Imphal Moreh road near Leimangai Chingjin around 4.45 pm The two deceased bullet riders have been identified as Th Angsheltong Lamkang (22) son of Th Betoi Lamkang and Khumsalem Kangten(18) son of Romio Kangten, both from Thamlapokpi village.
The lifeless bodies have been kept at JNIMS morgue for post mortem.
Kakching police has registered a case in this regard.
