Health Min launches MMC web portal

With an aim to provide necessary information on all health related issues to the public, the web portal of Manipur Medical Council (MMC) was officially launched by health minister Dr Sapam Ranjan, on Saturday.
Speaking as chief guest of the launchfunction held at the Lamphelpat MMC office, here, on Saturday, minister Dr Sapam Ranjan said that opening of the web portal will be of immense help to the society in addition to providing opportunities in terms of health-related issues.
The web portal will have the details of physicians and provide necessary information about the physicians to the general public.
He said that the web portal of the directorate of Family Welfare will also be launched very soon.
He further informed that the state government has taken up measures to bring out an actual figure of the nurses working in different private and government hospitals and clinics of the state.
In addition, the website will provide details on the types of treatment available in government hospitals and how treatments are being carried out in the hospitals.
Dr Ranjan went on to inform that the government will try to fulfill the demands and agendas which included demand for grant in aid which Were brought up during the MMC meeting for the development of the council.
Despite lack of resources in the state, the government will make sure that the health sector is developed in the state.
The government is also trying to include a number of grant-in-aids in this sector which is also among the priority agendas of the chief minister.
Presided over by MMC president Dr L Ranjit, the function was also attended by health director Dr Sasheekumar Mangang, MMC vice president Dr Simpson Sareo and MMC registrar Dr Y Gopalkrishna as guests of honour.
