ZUF chairman shares message of unity on its 14th Raising Day

Imphal, February 24 2024: Sending out a message in connection with the 14th Raising Day of Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) which falls on Sunday, its chairman Jenchui Kamei has extended warm greetings and heartfelt wishes to its cadres and general public.

Reflecting on the founding of the ZUF 13 years prior, Jenchui Kamei lauded the bold sacrifices and unwavering dedication of fellow patriots who laid down their lives in the service of motherland.

He paid homage to these martyrs with utmost reverence and conveyed deep appreciation to living comrades for their resilience and steadfastness despite past setbacks.

Stating that unity and hope has fuelled the ZUF's enduring struggle, Kamei underscored the intrinsic value of forgiveness and collective endeavour in pursuit of a common destiny.

He reiterated the call to Zeliangrong brethren to join hands in pursuit of political settlement with the Government of India, emphasising the importance of seizing the opportunity for resolution.

Expressing a fervent desire for communal peace and harmony in the state, Jenchui Kamei appealed for universal brotherhood and mutual respect among all communities, including Meeteis and Kukis.

He emphasised the ZUF's commitment to promoting justice, peace, and communal harmony.

Jenchui Kamei concluded his message by envisioning the Raising Day as a symbol of hope and progress, heralding a new dawn for the Zeliangrong people and beyond.
