Imphal, December 09 2014: A two-day capacity building programme on commodity future market for senior officers of public sector banks including regional banks and State cooperative banks organised by ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region was kick-started -today at the ICAR premises located at Lamphelpat.

Resource persons of the inaugural day included two scientists of ICAR -Dr Rishikanta Singh and S Bhuvaneshwari, Dr Rajmani, Dept of Commerce, MU.

They spoke on wide range of topics like basics and fundamental of commodity future market with reference to agrarian market, video tutorial on commodity future market and financial products, service intermediaries related to commodity future market.

Dr Rishikanta Singh, organising secretary; DGM of NABARD RO Manipur VS Gupta and Dr IM Singh, Principal Scientist, ICAR also attended the inaugural function.

The programme is being organised by ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region held under the sponsorship of NABARD.
