Financial aids given to fire victims

Imphal, June 06, 2014: Financial assistance as relief was distributed to the wild fire victim families of Khudei Khullen village, Chandel District at the office of the Sub - Divisional Officer (SDO), Tengnoupal today.

S Tongpao Mate, Executive Member (CAF & PD, Art and culture), ADC Chandel handed over a sum of Rs.18, 950 each to all the heads of 7 households whose houses and properties were destroyed by wild fire on the fateful day of 12th April.

Another sum of Rs.1500 was also handed over to the village chiefs for repairing the village Community Hall which was also partial burned by the inferno.

While briefing media persons, L.Kirankumar, SDO Tengnoupal, said that the financial reliefs distributed today were given under the government scheme to the wild fire victims after spot enquiry and verification done by the Office.

It is worth to mention here that, the Executive Member of ADC Chandel had also earlier provided financial assistance from his discretion fund to the families whose houses and properties were destroyed by the inferno.
