Imphal, June 07 2015 : Chanura Chaokhat Khongthang Lup "Empowering Women" has vehemently condemned the torture and murder of a girl at Heirok on June 5.A press note released by CCKL Working President has stated that any type of crimes against women in our society must be fought together and added that it will always support the activities taken up by the JAC.

It further said that the Government must make a law so that in future no such crimes can happen again.

CCKL is organising a peace rally on July 25 under the theme of "Nupi Khunnai Kallashi, Tangdu Leitaba Eramdam Ama Semlashi".

It appealed to all not to call any general strike on this day and to support the rally.
