Imphal, February 07 2015 : Lieutenant General R K Rana, SM, VSM, Director General Assam Rifles dedicated sports items and toys to the children of Mother Teresa and Tabitha children home of Imphal at Mantripukhri garrison on 07 Feb 2015.The act of the DG has further strengthened the bond between the Assam Rifles and people of Manipur as friends of the North East people.

Speaking on the occasion, General Officer lauded the support of people of Manipur to the Assam Rifles in restoring the normalcy in the area and said that the provisioning of sport and utility items to the villages will indeed go a long way and will further help in creating more sports star in the State.

Assam Rifles have always been undertaking various development projects to obviate the problems of the locals and also resuscitate the sub optional state of existing facilities in the erstwhile insurgency inflicted state.
