Tata Winger services shorten Imphal-Dimapur gap

Imphal, January 19 2014 : The distance between Imphal and Dimapur has been made shorter by Tata Winger van services.

The morning to evening slow-pace, long and tiresome journey of passenger bus services between Imphal and Dimapur is going to be written off soon, thanks to the introduction of fast and swift and easily available Tata Winger van services.

Travellers today can reach the Nagaland commercial hub Dimapur by 12 noon from Imphal and have enough time to re-charge energy before they begin the long train journey elsewhere from Dimapur railway station.

According to Anil of Ningthou Travels, there are about 150 Tata Winger vans plying between Imphal and Dimapur.

With the introduction of Tata Winger van services, one good development is that the passengers are not compelled to rush to the station early in the morning.

From 5 am onwards till 2 in the afternoon, Tata Winger van services are available between Imphal and Dimapur.

While from Dimapur to Imphal, the services are available till 11 pm.

Which means that travellers from Dimapur to Imphal can take the journey any moment.

However, few travellers choose the bus services due to the cost factor.

Only few buses are plying these days including the Nagaland State Transport (NST) buses between Imphal and Dimapur.

The distance between Imphal and Dimapur is over 200 km.
