Imphal, November 04 2015: Anal Lenruwl Tangpi (Anal Students' Union) Imphal has asked the responsible authority to take up immediate action on the Traffic Policemen were were alleged to have mentally and physically harassed innocent public in pretext of checking vehicle documents in congested areas of Imphal city.

In a stamen, ALT President Gofort Langhu alleged that the law keeping agencies misused the law by taking law in their hands which is totally against the constitutional rights creating fear psychosis among the students.

"Creating fear psychosis is part of mental harassment which is a total violation of human rights:, said ALT.

The Union questioned the concerned authority of the Traffic Police department whether the Traffic policemen are assigned for checking the vehicle documents or assigned for implementing traffic rules.

The union urged the concerned authority to rectify the conduct of the Traffic Policemen on duty.
