Imphal, April 16 2015 : A written complaint has been filed with District Welfare Officer Imphal West (I/W) Manipur for issuing Old age pension illegally by officials.

The written complaint was by Chairman of Committee on Public Accounts Manipur Legislative Assembly, L Ibomcha with reference to the complaint made by Ingudam Manitombi from Kwakeithel Nganapi Thong Mapal, I/W.As per the written complaint, the pensioner Ingudam Manitombi's rightful pension amount was issued to her daughter-in-law with a Xerox copy of her Pension Card ( Card no: 955/10/ KSM) and fake documents with the help of ward no.12 Councilor, while she was away at Moreh on the day of pension distribution.

Further, Manitombi said that out of her rightful pension amount of Rs 4800 an amount of Rs 2200 was given to the imposter.

There was fear of the connivance of some officials in this shady deal.

Hence, he appealed for an inquiry of the case and department to recovery of the amount given.
