BSNL employees to begin pen-down/tool down from today

Imphal, November 04 2015: Employees of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Manipur Branch have resolved to begin a "pen down strike" from Thursday onwards.

In a statement, Forum of BSNL Unions/Association Convener H Yaima said that J Lunkim, GMTD had allegedly assaulted a staff on October 28 .

The forum has been demanding the responsible authority to take up disciplinary action against Lunkim.

He informed that the staff and officers of BSNL, Manipur Branch has been staging democratic forms of agitations like wearing black badge, non co-operation, sit-in protests since November 29 demanding the transfer of J Lunkim, GMTD from Manipur branch.

The forum said so far no disciplinary action has been taken up by the responsible authorities.
