Imphal, September 22 2013: Along with distributing various essential commodities to the aged inmates, a free medical camp was organized by Rotary Club of Polo City, Imphal at the Old Aged Home at Kumbi today.

A team led by N Romesh, President of Rotary Club of Polo City, Imphal and its Secretary Dinesh Haobam went to the Old Aged Home at Kumbi and presented one water reservoir (1000 litres), rice, dal, tooth brushes and other essential commodities.

Later, a free medical camp was also conducted for the inmates of the Home.

At present, there are 4 males and 20 females in the Home.

All of them were medically examined by three doctors.

They were given medicines free of cost.

Talking to Hueiyen Lanpao on the sidelines of the programme, Dinesh Haobam, Secretary, Rotary Club of Polo City, Imphal, informed that the Rotary Club of Polo City, Imphal has been extending humanitarian services to the people of Manipur in various forms.

Programmes including tree plantation, sanitation awareness programme and free health camps are being organized on monthly basis.
