Imphal, April 16 2015 :
MPP Youth Front has said on Friday that 90 percent of rural population of the State are all "debt-ridden" while 80 percent of the urban population happen to be money lenders.
At a press meet at Manipur People's Party office here, the party's youth front president Machang Soibam alleged that the State Government is reluctant to implement the youth policy.
Instead the government is spending huge money during elections.
Machang claimed that the youngsters of the State have been left in a state of frustration for decades by the Manipur Government.
He said a State must be governed by the youth whose population is the largest among all ages.
The task for bringing about a new face of change in Manipur must be entrusted with this age group only, he insisted.
Machang then criticized the Ibobi Government, saying the ruling Congress' tall claim on the construction of the Capitol Project, the High Court building of Manipur, Thoubal and Ima makets is not a real development wanted by the people.
He appealed to all to use politics as a medium with a decision making role to address all major issues plaguing the State such as corruption, unemployment and many others.
